About Skin Rejuvenation
Until recently, the inevitability of ageing and sun damaged skin was anticipated. The notion of slowing down or reversing the signs of ageing was a dream rather than a reality.
The Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) delivers state of art technology in photo rejuvenation. This specialised treatment enables us to reverse the signs of ageing and sun damaged skin.
IPL photo rejuvenation is performed by a gentle delivery of specialised light energy to specific skin areas (e.g. Face, neck, chest, shoulders, back of hands). These specific areas then absorb this light energy and respond in several ways, to trigger the healing processes within the skin.
The stimulation of collagen and elastin within the skin helps reverse the ageing process and results in a more youthful appearance. Photo rejuvenation also dramatically reduces sun damaged skin, rosacea, wrinkles, fine lines, pores, scars, pigmentation and facial capillaries.
The benefits of photo rejuvenation are rapid, visible and long lasting. There is no associated pain, redness or discomfort. There is also no recovery time, making this treatment a true “lunch time” procedure. Treatment sessions are approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Pre-treatment Advice
Every patient at Maitland Laser Clinic is offered a consultation and skin analysis prior to their procedure. At the time of your first consultation, you will be tested to properly evaluate the correct settings for your skin condition and skin type. Our consultants will then document these parameters in your individual client chart for future reference.
Post-treatment Advice
- After treatment, we recommend that you wash your face using cool water and apply moisturising cream twice-daily. This will help to rehydrate your skin and assist with new collagen/elastin formation.
- Avoid extreme sun exposure for several days after each treatment.
- Use a sun block with a SPF factor of 30+.
- Ask our consultants about our highly recommended post- Photo rejuvenation skin care products.
